The sculptor Isamu Noguchi’s studio in Mure-cho, Takamatsu City is open to the public in its original state.
The exhibition collection, the Isamu family’s surroundings, and the sculpture garden can also be viewed.
He used Aji stone, a granite produced in Mure Town, Aji Town (now Takamatsu City), Kagawa Prefecture, as the material for his work in the UNESCO garden, which led him to establish a studio in Mure Town, where he made his home in Japan and created his works while traveling back and forth between his home base in the United States and New York.
